Stocks Overvalued, Recession Will Return: Meredith Whitney.
* She was disappointed that Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke didn't spell out how the Federal Reserve planned to exit "the biggest Fed program to date, which is the mortgage-backed purchase program." In a speech earlier Thursday, Bernanke said the central bank was watching the dollar's decline but is likely to keep interest rates low.
* The US consumer was going through the biggest credit contraction ever—even bigger than that during the Great Depression. "That credit contraction is accelerating," she said. "There's nowhere to hide at this point."
* The banking sector is not adequately capitalized and will need to raise more capital in the coming year.
* The residential real estate market is likely to worsen and remains a much bigger threat than the commercial property market. The government's mortgage modification program won't result in any major improvement in homeowners' ability to stay above water, she added.
"I don't know what's going on in the market right now because it makes no sense to me," she said.
"The scariest thing about the Fed's program is that the money on the sidelines isn't going to support that asset class," she added. "So the trillion dollars of Fannie (Mae), Freddie (Mac) and mortgage-backed securities that the Fed is holding—there's no substitute buyer there."

Industrial production increased 0.1 percent in October after
having averaged monthly gains of about 0.9 percent over the
previous three months. Manufacturing production moved down 0.1
percent and the output of mines decreased 0.2 percent, but the
index for utilities rose 1.6 percent. At 98.6 percent of its
2002 average, total industrial production was 7.1 percent below
its level of a year earlier. Capacity utilization for total
industry moved up 0.2 percentage point to 70.7 percent, a rate
10.2 percentage points below its average for 1972 through 2008,
and capacity utilization for manufacturing was unchanged at 67.6
percent.

wykorzystanie mocy zaledwie 67,6% i nie zmieniło się w

Już w ciągu dnia pewne było, że będą spadki, po tym jak skoczyła inflacja w Wlk. Brytanii, to jest to czego się boją. W Stanach też dzisiejsze dane o inflacji producentów nie są zbyt pomyślne, wskazują na jej wzrost wkrótce.

wmówili ludziom że będzie inflacja a tak naprawde wszsytko traci swoją wartość szcególnie jak się wyceni z uncjach złota (stąd nazwa polski złoty)...papierowy pieniądz to wymysł chciwych Amerykanów - w Polsce przed wojną zawsze był parytet złota i dzięki temu Polska miała najstabilniejszą walutę i stosunkowo łagodnie przechodziła wielki kryzys. Musimy wrócić do swoich korzeni i zacząć płacić złotem.

nie wiem czy wiesz ale od czasu ustanowienia FED w 1913 roku z 1 dolara zostało tylko 10 centów. stracił 90% swojej wartości - to się nazywa polityka amerykańska. czyli że ludzie cieszą się że zarabiają więcej ale mogą kupić coraz mniej:) gdyby było powiązane ze złotem pieniądze ludzie by bardziej szanowali, kredyty dostawialiby tylko ludzie o super sprawdzonej wypłacalności. bank który by nabroił musiał by upaść przez co nie byłoby niepotrzebnych pokus. spekulanci zajęliby się uczciwą pracą
