THE ROLE
The successful candidate will become part of a team of approximately 8 people. The team is focused on efficient, timely processing of all corporate action transactions arising in respect of client funds, to ensure correct valuation.

The successful candidate will focus on the daily capture of corporate action event information, and the timely processing of this information into the fund accounting system.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Ensure all corporate action transactions are captured and accurately processed in a timely fashion, adhering to strict intra-day deadlines so as to enable the valuations team to perform its tasks at the appropriate times.
• Investigate and pursue unconfirmed events with the relevant parties, and escalate to senior team members, on a timely basis, those which remain unresolved.
• Resolve reconciliation discrepancies arising in connection with corporate action events
• Review and authorise work performed by junior staff
• Provide technical guidance to junior staff
• Provide input on potential improvements to control and efficiency
• Support testing in relation to new versions of the fund accounting system and other systems as applicable
• Assist in preparation of MIS reports for the department and assist in enhancing this process as applicable

PERSON SPECIFICATION
• 1 to 3 years experience in funds administration, with direct experience of corporate actions (not necessarily exclusively from a dedicated corporate actions function)
• Understanding of the impact of corporate actions on investment funds
• Accounting knowledge desirable
• Ability to network to get the job done
• Ability and willingness to reach out and learn
• Adaptable; Capable of operating in different environments
• Strong self awareness

• Strong PC and Microsoft office skills
• Highly numerate
• Strong self organisation
• High level of attention to detail
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Ability to use initiative within set parameters
