Unia Europejska przeznaczy 650 milionów euro na wsparcie trzyletniego planu odbudowy Somalii po wojnie domowej - ogłosił w Brukseli przewodniczący Komisji Europejskiej Jose Manuel Barroso.
Po 22 latach przerwy Międzynarodowy Fundusz Walutowy uznał rząd Somalii i wznowił kontakty z tym krajem co otwiera drogę do - jak to określono - "wsparcia technicznego i doradztwa politycznego".
Brytyjski rząd oferuje Somalijczykom pomoc, bo liczy na to, że będzie miał udział w eksploatacji bogactw naturalnych tego kraju.
